1955-57 GMC Trucks with Integrated Switching
Complete custom-fit Hurricane system designed for a clean, factory-style installation. The heat, A/C, and defrost unit mounts to the passenger side of the firewall. Integrated electronic switching works with the original GMC lever-style heater control to operate all system functions.
The electronic integrated controls operates electric servo motors, providing smooth, infinitely variable control of defrost and heater valve functions while retaining the factory lever-style controls. Includes underdash louvers for proper airflow along with a new ABS plastic glove box for a clean, finished appearance.
Complete systems include a custom condenser assembly with mounting brackets and pre-formed aluminum lines that pass through the core support and connect to the receiver/drier. Features a Sanden-style (508 equivalent) compressor with optional polished or chrome upgrades available. Compressor mounting brackets are available for most popular engines.
A binary pressure safety switch is included to protect the system from excessive high or low pressures. Trinary switch upgrade available for vehicles equipped with electric fans.
